For 31 days, I will attempt to write and share a small slice of life from my days. If you’d like to read more of today’s slices from other teacher-writers, please head over to twowritingteachers, who have also committed to this challenge. I’m also participating in Poetry Friday this week. If you’d like to immerse yourself in poetry in this weekend, Linda at Teacherdance is hosting the party. Stop by and read some poetry or add your own!
I love your poem. I put Let’s Make Art on my fun list today. I need to find more balance in my life, and I agree art does bring light.

I loved this poem, esp. the title. It will be something I reference when I’m down and dark. The ideas in it are ways to heal.

ooooooh! I love your pages. I too make “junk” journals. Most of my art is collage. I love your sentence.

I love the idea of a double page spread a day with a quote and some art. You inspire me!

I like the freedom of your poem, how it encourages us to play and figure out what makes us happiest as we turn to art to find a way into the light.
